Rana has direct connections and hands-on experience from her nearly two decades in social justice and service leadership at St. Ambrose Catholic Community and nonprofits across the Twin Cities.
our story
What began as a search for a shared volunteer activity turned into a discovery of real gaps in access to health and well-being products for some of our neighbors. School administrators and educators shared stories of impacts felt in the classroom and the ways that they were attempting to address. Hunger relief nonprofits communicated that they use valuable resources to try to address hygiene needs. Both recognize that it’s just not enough. This began a journey to understand why this gap exists, the harms of hygiene insecurity and how an organization like Bridge to Basics is needed. So we got to work to build the organization to meet the need.

Kristie helped build and run a marketing consulting agency aligning socially responsible businesses and nonprofits and has spent the last seven years as an communications consultant for nonprofits.
