build continued dignity
Become a monthly donor
Imagine having to choose between buying food for your family or laundry detergent and diapers.
For thousands of neighbors in Minnesota, this is a heartbreaking reality. Government programs like SNAP and WIC do not cover essential items like toothpaste, laundry detergent, or period products.
This gap forces impossible trade-offs, creates shame, and stops people from showing up. Our data shows 1 in 10 Twin Cities food shelf visitors miss school or work each month simply because they lack basic hygiene.
THE BRIDGE TO BASICS DIFFERENCE
Bridge to Basics is one of only eight hygiene banks nationwide and the only one in Minnesota dedicated to solving this crisis.
We procure and distribute a reliable, ongoing supply of essential hygiene products—from full-size soap to personal sized hygiene kits—to familiar partners like local schools and food shelves.
Last Year’s Impact: We delivered 888,751 items to over 40,000 neighbors.
Our Goal: To meet the rising need, we must distribute more than 1.1 million items this year!

BE THE STEADY SUPPLY OF DIGNITY
To hit our 1.1 million item goal, we need predictable, reliable funding. That’s where monthly donors come in.
This holiday season, help us secure the foundation for reliable dignity. We need new monthly donors to stock more shelves and help more people meet their basic needs.
A consistent monthly gift is the most powerful way to fuel confidence, health, and stability every single day.
Thank you for being the bridge to basics for more neighbors!
